Cardiff Canines Grooming up for 'Dog Days of Summer' Fest

The eighth annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer, hosted by the Cardiff 101 Main Street, is expected to draw 10,000 four-legged friends, fans and family members.

The fastest-growing street fair for dogs and dog lovers in Southern California is set for Saturday, August 10th, from 10am-4pm on Newcastle Ave, Aberdeen Drive and Liverpool Drive in Cardiff-by-the-Sea. The eighth annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer, hosted by the Cardiff 101 Main Street, is expected to draw 10,000 four-legged friends, fans and family members.

Dog Days of Summer is San Diego County's largest dog-centric event, hosted in Cardiff-by-the-Sea by Cardiff 101 Main Street. Looking for something fun to do with your dog? Want a little exercise, socialization, and bonding with your pup in addition to FUN? It's a great way to see old friends and make new ones of the two-and-four-legged variety. Lunchtime entertainment is brought to you from Dirty Dogs, the earth friendly pet product store and spa located in Cardiff-by-the Sea & Carmel Valley! Also make sure to look out for the world famous, Chopper the Biker Dog, who will be making an appearance this year.

Highlights of this year include free samples, giveaways, and in-store sales from Cardiff's No.1 dog wash, Dirty Dogs, a Blessing of the Dogs by the Tibetan Meditation Center, 10 dog contests including Best Kisser, Best Smile and Best Dressed, over 250 booths including pet adoptions from local shelters & rescue organizations as well as specialty pet products & services, delicious food vendors, an agility course sponsored by K-9 Connection & Zoom Room, a doggie photo booth courtesy of Photography by Gabriela, a doggie cool zone, an expanded kid’s zone and a large silent auction! Catch the FREE shuttle from Encinitas City Hall (505 S Vulcan, Encinitas)!
