2 Fun Family Events This Saturday!

Cardiff is the place to be this Saturday, May 5!

You can start off your family’s day at 9am with the Cardiff Carpentier Parkway Spring Fling.  This is a free event to promote the park in downtown Cardiff, located along San Elijo Avenue.  Kids can have fun at the Kid’s Zone, which includes a seed toss and games.  Parents can enter a raffle, buy local artwork and learn about sustainable gardening practices.  The event runs from 9am to 1pm and more information can be found here.

After you work up an appetite at the Spring Fling, you can head across the street to Cardiff Elementary, where they are hosting the 36th annual Ice Cream Social to benefit the two Cardiff elementary schools.  The fun will include games, prizes, activities, entertainment, a silent auction and of course ICE CREAM.  There is also my favorite, a cake walk!  This event runs from 10am to 3pm at Cardiff Elementary, 1888 Montgomery Avenue.
