Go Out, Have Fun and Raise Money to Stop Breast Cancer

LUNAFEST – connecting women through film – showing this Thursday evening May 3 at La Paloma Theater

I have great news Encinitas: LUNAFEST is coming to our town this week.

LUNAFEST was established in 2000 by LUNA, the makers of women’s nutrition bars. It is a traveling film festival that screens short films by women filmmakers.  According to the LUNAFEST website, there are 150 North American screenings each year and nearly $1.2 million has been raised. More information on LUNAFEST can be found here.

These fine films are being brought to Encinitas by Boobs on the Move® a local movement to “stop breast cancer through active prevention.”  One hundred percent of all net proceeds will be donated to charity – in this case, the Breast Cancer Fund, which strives to eliminate the environmental causes of breast cancer.
