Elvis would have described Franklin as a ‘hunka-hunka fur and love.’ He's a big boy who would be very happy to sit on your lap — your whole lap — purring. Franklin, or Frankie for short, is a pretty happy guy wherever he is. But he's going to be even happier when he goes home with his new family.

Because he's a big guy, Frankie likes having space to stretch out for his catnaps. If you have a spot near a window where he can nap in the sunshine, that's a bonus.

Frankie is available for adoption at Rancho Coastal Humane Society. His adoption fee of $125 includes medical exam, neuter, up to date vaccinations, and microchip identification.

is located at 389 Requeza St. in Encinitas. The hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Tuesday, when the shelter opens at 11:30 a.m.
