Located just five blocks from the beach with arguably one of the best ocean views in town, the is one of our community's crown jewels. The 2,000-square-foot community room and lounge-like nooks make it feel more like a neighborhood haunt, and it has become one of the most popular branches in the San Diego County Library’s system.
While libraries in the city of San Diego have faced drastic cuts in their hours of operation, county libraries have flourished in recent years, opening acclaimed new branches in and Fallbrook.
The hard work by library staff and volunteers has been rewarded with the announcement that the San Diego County Library has been named the 2012 Gale/Library Journal Library of the Year, topping libraries throughout the nation.
