Pannikin is a Leucadia landmark, serving coffee, tea, pastries and other treats in an old Santa Fe railroad station that was built in 1888. The cafe draws crowds, and parking can be tight when locals and visitors arrive to enjoy the fresh coastal air on the sprawling front yard. A gift shop with a huge selection of candy, coffee beans, spices and other items adds to the funky vibe that Pannikin has been known for since 1968. Two other locations can be found in Del Mar and La Jolla.
