A healthy dose of reality is needed in town regarding the way things are down on the 101. You can'tRead More hold multiple events on the same day during the tourist season and expect to not have accidents. What do you expect to happen when you reduce the parking by 25% for a special event and run hundreds of oblivious cyclists right through the middle of the disruption you have created. Add in people stopping in traffic (and waiting) for a parking space and you are almost guaranteed to have someone get hurt on a regular basis. The people on bikes need to accept some responsibility in town as well. I've noticed it's not the beach cruiser that is the problem. It's the iron man crowd. And they are not exactly deferential to pedestrians. At minimum they need to have better coordination regarding what is going on where and how it will impact he area? Do the state parks people talk to the town regarding what they are doing? When they decide to close the Seaside lot 2 days in a row, or both lots on the same day, does someone ask about what that will do to traffic in town? Are extra deputies added on the weekend to handle the traffic control issues? Have they considered approaching Mira Costa about more regular use of that lot? Something has got to change. We are turning into Newport.

Maybe let nature run it's course, a little unchecked rain runoff , might bring some sand back to theRead More Beach, this is what natural erosion creates...!!!

This is a tax on rain that will cost us all dearly ... it is impossible to filter zillions ofRead More gallons of water that drop fairly fast. This will only make larger government, huge fines on everyone, disasterous on business and fix absolutely nothing .... San Diego should soundly reject this ..... Just say NO ! It simply is not a problem and it is something that is impossible to do anything about.

Adding Encinitas and maybe Sorrento Valley will be helpful to many riders, but not all the stationsRead More listed. This makes the route to slow.

Been a long, long time since I've caught an Amtrak train in Encinitas...in fact, I think it wasRead More pre-Amtrak, when the station that became the Pannikin was still operating.

We are Amtrak regulars and this is great news for us and for Encinitas.

We should develop a "brand" for North County to attract developer investment and grab aRead More bigger share of tax money? Said like someone who has no idea what the word "branding" means - nor has any intention of representing the public interest. North County's not Coca Cola and shouldn't be presented in the same way.

Oh oh: "The SDNEDC has also created a map on Google Earth for developers to use as a tool toRead More determine if they want to invest in the region".
