It's a gated complex that is relatively affordable for Cardiff and holds a LOT of tenants so it's not unusual to come across questionable people that are otherwise uncharacteristic of Cardiff.
Hopefully the tenants at The Cardiff Apartments remain savvy and aware.

I will agree with Rats, that THESE motorcycle riders are absolutely nuts - the ones who go bar-hopping on their bikes. They are indeed small-brained, look-at-me types who are NOT reflective of MOST motorcyclists. Unfortunately, they and the squids (the kids who wheelie down the freeway and blast through traffic wearing t-shirts) are the ones people notice and love to hate. There are far more of us who you would consider "normal" who are considerate of cagers (you) and choose not to ruffle your sensitive little feathers. For the most part, anyway.

The Press is tainting the case against Vilkin because Upton's humanitarian acts 20 years ago has NOTHING to do with this case. A property owner has the right to cut the foliage on his own property without being in a month long dispute with a neighbor, whether that neighbor is a property owner or just a renter, as the press has said about Upton. A neighbor can make a request and then if it isn't done, then DROP IT. Let us not become jury, judge and executioner......unless we've all become Obama. May John Upton rest in peace and may Michael Vilkin get a fare trial.

And why would the victim go to him to shoot him if all he was doing was trimming shrubs? We need more details. It makes no sense that a man would die under these circumstances. As children we grew up learning that if you hear or see a train coming and you're about to cross the track...Don't ....If you can see that train coming...Definitely Don't Cross, unless of course if you have a subconscious death wish. It's closer than you think. If you trip, it's Hasta La Vista Baby
People think they can cross the track easily in a quick amount of time considering the tracks aren't very wide. Many people make the mistake of believing that if they hear an oncoming train that the train will be able to stop in time However, a 150-car freight train traveling 50 miles per hour will take over a mile to stop! Amtrak passenger trains travel non-stop through Encinitas. Be cautious when crossing train tracks and to those Red and Green Lights . If they're on, a train isn't too far behind.

This isn't a "to legalize or not to legalize" discussion. Sully is correct, marijuana can induce psychosis or exacerbate it in someone who already experiences it and it is negligent for a "doctor" to prescribe medical marijuana to someone who has mental illness. Have you done research on the effects of marijuana on mental illness, particularly psychosis, Robert? Why don't you do that and spout those stats off. Look at alcohol and tobacco stats on mental illness while you're at it so you know what your talking about the next time you try to "prove some point."
