I flagged and deleted comments and one user. I thank every one else for playing by the rules andRead More being respectful. I very much appreciate constructive comments regardless of opinion or regardless of whether or not that commenter likes the story. I highly encourage people to use their real names. People who use their real names tend to act the way they would in public and have more useful comments.

I fail to see what food stamps have anything to do with the Olympics.

TIL - I nominate you for "Christian Humanitarian" of the Year. I guess you think itRead More better to let children die of malnutrition. Again not on topic as usual.

Shhh...don't advertise Swimming with the Sharks! I do it every other year or so and feel a littleRead More guilty, like I am harassing them. I am.

Thanks Frank--I think La Jolla Shores at time is the stingray capital of San Diego County (withRead More Coronado Shores running a close second). I've been hit 5-6 times in San Diego and Baja (inside Punta Abreojos) and it is never pleasant.

Good Points about enjoying the Beach,,,,,But don't forget to shuffle your feet in the water to chaseRead More off the Sting Rays...!!!

Consider Wind 'n' Sea on big winter days. North of Trestles: Cotton's Point. Also on Trestles, theRead More proposed toll road would end at I-5 on Camp Pendleton, a half mile from the beach. Not even close to the beach.

I first swam in the Pacific Ocean in late summer of 45, Rode the bus for 4 hours to get grom where IRead More lived to Hunington Beach to spend the day and did so often till we moved to San Diego in 48, I had come home, Riding the bus at first to Mission Beach at first then I discovered La Jolla, Truely the Jewel of this area. Making my first compressed air dive in 51, I had found a life calling. Joining the Corps at 17 and spending the next 6 or so Years all over the Pacific I got a chance to see a lot of magical dive sites, Japan, The Phillippines, Hawaii, Midway island, Life is not long enough for one person to see it all. I continued to dive into my 60's till I had an accident which ended my diving life, I really miss it but life goes on. This was a wonderful item Serge I enjoyed it a lot and it brought back many memories

they have two years to file, but that doesn't effect how long the proceedings can drag out...itRead More takes prosecuting attorneys three years to get a court date... ...then both sides start piling on the motions... for the attorney - there's no money in going to court because it takes up too much of their time.....the big bucks are in the paperwork...
Jane Tanaka MD January 28, 2013 at 11:50 pm
Isnt there a statute of limitations of 2 years in a non-medical wrongful death case in the State ofRead More California? The suit was file here in San Diego, per the pdf .

9:43 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2013 Prior to the 2012 Football Season, the American Academy ofRead More Neurology published, in the journal Neurology, a study of 3500 professional football players, and found that professional football players are 4 times as likely to develop ALS ( Lou Gehrig's disease), and also had higher risk of developing Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimers Disease, compared to the general public. Attorneys did not make this up. Its important that parents know this prior to signing up their kids for football.. yes, it can happen even in middle school or high school or college... Its not a laughing matter. If you are a parent who wants your kid to be in football, consider making sure they will be the quarterback or kicker... unless the game changes to reduce repetitive head injuries. Respectfully, Jane Tanaka MD.
