Anastacia Grenda
Anastacia Grenda is a writer and editor who has worked for a variety of newspapers and magazines during her career. Starting as a part-time sportswriter, she worked her way up to city editor for a daily paper in the Los Angeles Times' local news division before making the jump to Orange Coast, a regional magazine covering Orange County, where she was the managing editor. In addition to her Patch duties, Anastacia is currently the arts editor for Orange Coast and managing editor for Carlsbad-based Wheelhouse Media, and her freelance stories have appeared in outlets ranging from San Diego Magazine to ChristianityToday.com.
An Orange County native, Anastacia has lived in Encinitas for more than three years with her family—her husband, Tim, and their kids, Jack and Mary. During that time, she's enjoyed exploring Encinitas parks, seeing movies at La Paloma, hanging out at the beach and the library and finding all the best desserts at local restaurants and bakeries. (Seriously, just ask her where to find divine butterscotch pudding and chocolate pecan bars.)
