Hi! My name is Dawn and I’m a 20something year old, originally from New York City. A self-proclaimed city girl; I always fantasized about moving back to the busy, crazy, hectic life I love, but ended up spending my youth and most of my young adulthood in the suburbs of Rancho Bernardo.  3 months ago I decided it was time to move out of my dad’s house for the first time! To finally make that big move – pack up and just go for it! That’s when I found myself in……..

Could I GET any further away from city life?!

Well guess what…I have fallen in love! In love with the beach, in love with the atmosphere, in love with…acai bowls!

Anyway, I’m having an absolute blast on this new journey and I’d really love to share it with anyone who is interested in discovering everything Encinitas and its surroundings has to offer.

I’m completely new to this area and am looking for places to eat, things to do & people to meet. So I’m really excited to blog about my adventure and REVIEW all of the great and not so great places I encounter along the way.  

I’d love for you to follow along; to make suggestions, and hopefully get something out of my posts for yourself as well.

A little more about me-

I’m a staffing coordinator for a biotech company in Carlsbad by day and a Health/Food/Fitness/Life blogger by night. I just moved to Cardiff with 2 roommates and have discovered my love for lying on the beach and pretending like I have no worries in the world.  I’m tellin ya…living here can make you feel like you’re permanently on vacation…if you do it right! :)  I have a passion for food, health, fitness and an obsession with exclamation points and food blogs; hence, my excitement about blogging on The Patch! I’m always looking for new things to do and hidden treasures to eat at.

I really do look forward to bringing you yummy reviews but I have to go catch up on some much needed beach time now!
