Jennifer Reed is a writer, animal lover and Encinitas resident who recently left her position as a Patch editor to pursue a career in the veterinary field. 
When she's not wrangling pets at The Drake Center or working on her next column, she is likely getting a pedicure, enjoying San Diego's amazing Mexican food or trying to find time to finish a book. Jennifer is also the proud mother/owner/servant of two adorable if misbehaving cats, Maya and Tigerlilly.
