Pet of the Week: Dinah is in the Prime of her Life

Dinah loves spending time in the kitchen…or the living room, bedroom, wherever! And she seems to enjoy blowing a horn and strummin' on an old banjo.

The following is by the Rancho Coastal Humane Society

Here's "Dinah" kitty. She's the Pet of the Week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas.

Six human years equal about 40 "cat years" old. As cats mature....their aging process is much slower than it was when they were kittens.

Vetinfo.com says that the average life span of an indoor cat is as much as 18 years....and that spayed or neutered cats (like Dinah) generally live longer.

In other words....Dinah is in the prime of her life with lots of years ahead of her to make her family happy!

"Dinah" is the Pet of the Week at your Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas. She's a 6 year old, 11 pound, spayed, female, Tabby cat with a short fur coat.

Nothin’ could be finer than adopting your new Dinah from Rancho Coastal Humane Society. Before she was transferred to RCHS through the Friends of County Animals Shelters program, Dinah spent 4 months at another shelter. That didn’t seem to bother her. She’s still a sweet soul that loves giving, and receiving attention.

The $145 adoption fee for Dinah includes medical exam, up to date vaccinations, spay, and microchip identification.

Adopt Dinah or sponsor a pet until its new family takes it home. Call 760-753-6413...log on to SDpets.org...or visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas.
Kennels and cattery are open Wednesday through Monday from 11 to 5.
