Enhance Your Grilling With Wood Chips

California Citrus Wood Chips is now at the Leucadia Farmers Market selling a wide variety of products to take your grilling to the next level.

Frank Moxley, owner of California Citrus Wood Chips, is a new vendor at the Leucadia Farmers Market. Using quality woods from Washington state—as well as more local areas like orchard groves—he produces wood chunks, chips, planks, and grilling papers that will add delicious complexity and flavor to your next barbeque.

With varieties like maple, hickory, cedar, mesquite, cabernet oak, cherry, apple, lemon, apricot, nectarine, pear and more, there's a lot of room for any grillmaster to express culinary genius. Also, the planks can be reused up to five times, so be sure to try different herb and marinade combinations.

While your grilling meat does not have to be marinated, Moxley said thicker marinades will hold the smoke better than lighter ones.

For those who may be worried about the health risks, Moxley recommends using the fruit woods because they are milder and do not produce as much smoke—though he assured me that people have been cooking with wood for centuries.

Barbeque season will soon be upon us—stop by the Leucadia Farmers Market this Sunday and check out all the , and woods from California Citrus Wood Chips to make your grilling even more flavorful.
